I stopped drawing to focus in my college life and switched to other hobbies because at that time, I wanted to become a different person. I ended up as a healthcare worker in my country. But in year 2020, a colleague remembered my skill and made me get back to drawing again by making illustrations dedicated to COVID-19 and healthcare workers like me. After that, i did some art freelancing jobs as side hustle, participated in exhibits hosted by Art Show Philippines, and International Watercolor Society. I also enrolled in graphic design class and other relevant workshops to add more skills.
I realized that art has always been a part of who I am despite the changes that happened in my life. It served as a happy pill for me, to heal myself from the past, a voice to express my thoughts, and an instrument to remind me always about the beauty of God's creations.
Take mild doses of art, even on red days.
